SILCA LIMITED WARRANTY

Parts covered by SILCA Limited Warranty are considered to be subject to wear through normal use or are consumable subject to degradation through the course of their daily use.  SILCA guarantees them free from manufacturer defects for 2 years.

Final Sale Items may have damaged packaging, missing packaging, or very small cosmetic blemishes.  They are still covered under our standard warranty, but are not eligible for returns.

Compared to standard butyl rubber bicycle inner tubes, latex tubes are considerably more elastic (10x elongation compared to 2-3x). More importantly, Latex Rubber has significantly lower coefficient of damping which means that when latex rubber is stretched or flexed, it returns to shape faster and with less energy loss.

What does this mean for an inner tube?  Latex inner tubes are generally 2-5 Watts (per tire) more efficient at 30mph than tubes made of other materials. They are harder to pinch-flat and offer superior ride quality, especially when combined with supple, low rolling resistance tires. This tube has been sized to fit tires measuring 24-30mm, which will equate to 23-28mm tires used on modern wider rims.  Valve stem length is 42mm and will work in all modern disc wheels.

      Game changer.

I didn’t think I’d get that much of an improvement from swapping tubes, but boy was I wrong. Had been riding butyl for years and this swap made the ride so much for comfortable. Less road chatter. I was nervous about installation because people have said latex is more fragile/delicate when installing but as long as your are being diligent in your process, there isn’t an issue. Loaded in just like any other tube. Very pleased and won’t be going back to butyl unless I have no choice.

      Works great!

I have been running the same set of latex tubes for 3 years now without a puncture. I also run these with 25mm Vittoria Control tires. Not the fastest tire on the market but they are very comfortable and durable and made even better with latex tubes. Some riders I know have not had the best luck with them. I've ran them for years now and would rather run tubes rather than tubeless. I just make sure to pump my tires to the correct pressure before every ride since these do lose pressure much quicker than a butyl tube.
