Non-linearity has literally has won and lost the Tour de France. Josh breaks down this important concept -- one he admits to sometimes having a tough time wrapping his brain around. The metaphor? Extreme betting during what would turn out to be a very expensive round of golf.
From there we apply non-linearity to cycling and aerodynamics. Let's just say that after this episode, you will give serious consideration to shaving your head.

Certainly agree with just what you said. Your explanation was certainly the simplest to comprehend. I tell you, I usually get annoyed any time folks discuss issues that these people obviously dont know about. You were able to hit the nail on the head and spelled out the whole thing with out complication. Perhaps, folks could take a signal. Will likely be back to obtain more. Reminds me of that Top Gear episode where they drive a Bugatti Veyron at max speed. James May explains that 300hp would be enough for the Veyron to reach 250 km/h, and that the extra 700hp were here only to grab those extra 160 km/h to top the 407km/h max speed because of the drag getting so damn high !
