2026 Bespoked Osaka: Prova Cycles Mostro Integrale Gravel Bike

Mark Hester and team at Australia’s Prova Cycles have been pushing titanium frame building into new territory for a while now, and the Mostro Integrale shown at Bespoked Osaka exemplifies their craft. Fully custom-designed to suit both a rider’s biomechanics and terrain choice, the frame uses an in-house butted titanium tubeset tailored to its owner’s parameters.

One of the originators of using additive manufacturing to solve design challenges in bicycle fabrication, Prova has implemented it so cleanly in this Mostro Integrale that it’s hardly noticeable. The upper head tube, seat cluster with hidden wedge, dropouts, chainstay yoke, and fork components are all printed in titanium, letting Prova shape high-stress areas with precise wall thicknesses that traditional machining or welding can't match.

The 3D-printed yoke solves one of the trickiest parts of designing modern gravel bikes. Everyone wants wide tires with big chainrings and narrow Q-factors, but fitting such a wishlist together with traditional fabrication techniques can be challenging if not impossible.

The Mostro Integrale, with its custom-designed yoke, however, allows up to 700x55 tires with an ENVE fork (or 700 x 50mm with Prova’s custom titanium fork). This made it the perfect showcase for SILCA's high-volume Protocol RCG-3 tires. Even with rubber that wide, it still maintains clearance for narrow road Q-factor cranks on an 86.5mm T47 bottom bracket shell. Out back, the frame keeps things simple and elegant with Prova’s custom-designed UDH dropouts that also accomodate a direct 160mm flat mount for the rear brake.

True to its Integrale nomenclature, the cockpit hides brake lines using the ENVE In-Route system. Everything runs internally through the bar and stem, dropping into the frame through a Chris King Aeroset hidden underneath a custom Prova titanium headset cover. It gives the front end a seamless look without resorting to clunky plastic spacers.

At 8.5kg, as shown on the floor in Osaka, it proves ultra-wide tire clearance and internal routing don't have to turn a custom titanium frame into a heavy tank. It sits right in that sweet spot where modern additive manufacturing meets sensible build spec and a bold finish.
