From Cat 1 and 2 Gravel races like Gravel Worlds or SBT GRVL, where tempo and comfort are paramount, the RCG-1 tire is designed to push the limits of fast gravel racing by balancing speed with control. It’s also at home on mixed surface rides that regularly transition between tarmac and dirt.

Look down the center and you’ll see a low ramped directional tread transition for forward rolling efficiency with a braking surface that bites hard when slowing down. Approach a loose, high-speed sweeping corner, and its elevated, elongated side knobs engage to maximize surface area to deliver grip and stability. RCG-1 Architecture

Testing/Performance Data

Measured against the Schwalbe Thunder Burt and the Continental Dubnital, the RCG-1 rolled fastest in controlled lab testing at 25.8 watts, ahead of both at 27.0 and 29.6. It also comes in 125 and 85 grams lighter per tire, beating the leading XC benchmarks on speed and weight at the same time.

The fill volumes below are the minimum recommended amount of SILCA Ultimate Sealant per tire to provide reliable puncture protection and long-lasting performance. Additional sealant may be beneficial based on climate, riding conditions, riding frequency, tire inserts, and service intervals.
