The SILCA Tire Levers Premio were engineered to be safer to use on carbon wheel sets. These levers are composed of two separate pieces of alloy that allow flex in the portion of the lever that contacts the rim, allowing the force to be distributed over a larger surface area. Other levers can leave all the force on one small spot, causing damage to rims.
The SILCA Tire Levers Premio are specifically designed for tire removal and should not be used for installation. We recommend that no tire lever ever be used for installation, as it can increase the risk of damage to both your rim and the bead of your tire.
