    In 1988 SILCA noticed the growing MTB market in the US and began developing a high volume pump with low pressure gauge to meet the needs of this completely new category of bicycle.
    Named the Terra, it was the first of it's kind, high volume, low pressure specific pump for larger volume tires. Now, 34 years later, SILCA reintroduces the Terra concept with new and exciting technology that allows it to be not only the world's most refined low pressure pump, but also to maintain high pressure capabilities as well.

    Using a revolutionary new non-linear gauge scale technology, the Terra pump uses custom gauge internals to create a gauge which allows for 0.5psi precision at the low end of the range climbing to 2psi precision at the high end of the range (120psi). This unique design allows for a gauge with 120psi overall capability, yet 50% of the gauge face contains 0-30psi (0-2.1bar). 

    Terra maintains SILCA's famous all metal construction with lathe turned Ash wood handle, but breaks the traditional SILCA mold with a unique lever operated chuck based on SILCA's own award winning Tattico mini pump chuck design. This full metal chuck uses a threaded reversible end cap to switch between presta and schrader and contains an inline pressure bleed button. The Terra pump will move 318 cubic centimeters with each stroke.

    Frequently asked questions

    Can the Terra Pump be used on both Presta and Schrader valves?

    Yes, the Terra Pump comes with a reversible locking chuck that can be used on both Presta or Schrader valves. This can be switched by unthreading the inner body of this chuck.

    Can the Terra Pump be used with alternative chucks?

    Unfortunately, this Terra Pump does not include a threaded Schrader receiver, so it can not be used with alternative chucks or adapters as is.

    Are there any spare parts available for the Terra Pump?

    Currently, we are only able to offer replacements of the reversible chuck for this pump. Please reach out to customer service to purchase this part or to inquire about any issues you may have (sales@silca.cc).

    What PSI does the Terra Gauge go up to?

    The Terra Pump is able to inflate tires up to 110 PSI.

    Is the Terra Pump compatible with any other SILCA Chucks?

    Unfortunately, as the Terra Pump does not feature a threaded Schrader receiver it is not compatible with any alternative SILCA Chucks.
