How to apply Super Secret 2.0

Cleaning chain before applying super secret 2.0 drip wax

Clean

Clean your chain. Wipe off a previously waxed chain. Strip and dry a previously oiled chain.

Drip Super Secret 2.0 Wax Lube onto each chain link

Drip

Shake well, cross-chain to improve penetration, and apply one drop to each roller while slowly backpedaling.

Wait for Super Secret 2.0 to dry

Wait

Backpedal several revolutions to distribute the lubricant evenly, then allow the chain to cure for at least 4 hours before riding. Overnight is ideal.

What are the changes between Super Secret 1.0 and 2.0?

The biggest difference is the size of the wax particles. These particles are now smaller. This smaller size and the new emulsification process allow for 8-10% more wax in the formula. Another change is the geometry of the tungsten disulfide particles. This new geometry allows these particles to adhere to the metal better and provide for even greater efficiency.

How should I maintain a Hot Waxed chain with Super Secret 2.0?

After wiping your chain down with a Gear Wipe or a microfiber cloth, Super Secret 2.0 can be added to your Hot Waxed chain at any time to provide an extra 350- 400 km of use. This can also be applied after a wet ride to help flush out any remaining water between the links of your chain and help to prevent rusting.

How long should I allow my Super Secret 2.0 to dry before riding?

We would recommend that you allow this product to dry for at least 4 hours. For the best results, 12 hours.

How should Super Secret 2.0 be store?

Super Secret 2.0 should be stored with the lid tightly closed and in temperatures between 5 and 35 °C (41-95°F).

Are extra steps needed when re-hot waxing my chain when Super Secret 2.0 is applied as a top off?

No! When Super Secret is used as a top off, you can re-wax your chain as normal with no extra cleaning steps.

Can Super Secret 2.0 be used on top of Super Secret 1.0?

For the best results, we would recommend that you remove Super Secret 1.o from your chain with boiling water before applying Super Secret 2.0.

Do I need to clean my chain before applying Super Secret 2.0?

Yes, you will want to ensure that your chain is cleaned and stripped with Chain Stripper before applying this Super Secret 2.0.

How often should I apply Super Secret 2.0?

Super Secret 2.0 should be reapplied every 350- 400 km or when the chain becomes noisy.

Can Super Secret 2.0 be used on its own?

Yes, Super Secret 2.0 can be used on its own and not in combination with Hot Wax. This will give you similar results to Hot Wax. When using this product on its own, you will see around 350-400 km of use before needing to re-apply when riding on dry road conditions.

How do I apply Super Secret 2.0?

You will want to apply Super Secret 2.0 the same as you would a standard oil-based lubricant. One drop per link. Unlike an oil-based lubricant, you will not want to wipe the excess off your chain. You will want to allow this lubircant to fully dry before riding.

Does Super Secret 2.0 need to be layered?

No. Super Secret 2.0 does not need to be layered on your chain. One single application will get you 350-400 km of riding on dry road conditions. You can still layer this product to see even better results.
