SILCA 3D printed titanium derailleur hangers bring increased strength and stiffness to this overlooked component so critical to quick and precise shifting. Modern electronic derailleurs shift so fast, and with such force, that conventional hangers made from low grade aluminum plate will flex up to 4 degrees during a shift resulting in less precise and slower shifting. Using advanced 3D modeling with AI generated structural infill, SILCA 3DP Hangers are 2-7x stiffer than aluminum hangers while also being 2-6 grams lighter depending on model.

For Shimano Direct Mount compatibility the SILCA 3DP Direct Mount Hangers offer 8-12x higher stiffness with 4-10 gram weight savings by eliminating the use of the direct mount link from the assembly.

Already in use at the World Tour level SILCA 3DP Hangers were utilized in 2 stage wins of the 2023 Tour de France and are credited with maintaining derailleur alignment across numerous crashes.

SILCA 3DP Titanium Hangers provide a significant increase in stiffness over conventional aluminum hangers. Each SILCA hanger is precision-verified to within 0.2 degrees of parallelism prior to shipment. Do not use an alignment tool or HAG; unlike aluminum, titanium resists cold-bending, and forcing it risks prematurely snapping the internal fracture geometry that protects your frame. If you measure an alignment issue upon installation, do not attempt to bend the hanger, as the root cause is likely a slightly out-of-tolerance frame, dirty dropout, or a bent derailleur cage.

    Can I use a hanger alignment tool during installation?

    The installation of these hangers should not require the use of an alignment tool, but if it is needed, please use it with carefully with out excessive force.

    Why is my derraileur hanger not aligning correctly on my bike?

    If you have selected the correct hanger for your frame, in the event that the hanger is out of alignment when installed, the issue is generally either frame related (such as a slight bend from a fall or crash), or in most cases, related to uneven paint buildup in the hanger area of the frame, and this is an issue best solved with an aluminum hanger which can be finessed into alignment after installation. If this is the case for you, please reach out to our customer service team.

    I purchased the Shimano version of this hanger but it appears to be longer than the current hanger on my bike.

    Our Shimano hangers are designed to replace both the direct mount hanger itself as well as the b-link. This is why your hanger may appear to be longer. Please remove your b-link and hanger and use this component to replace both.
