Dear Silca, I bought my Silca track pump 30 years ago when I was a keen cyclist. Then came marriage, family and a mortgage and my pump sat unused in my shed for 27 years. Then exit marriage, mortgage and grown up family and now I am a keen cyclist again. I was going to throw my old pump away after I found the original rubber gasket had perished and failed after only a few uses. My local bike shops had no solutions. Luckily I found your website and ordered the new gasket. Your YouTube channel showed me how to use it properly (as I never did in the past) and now I actually enjoy pumping up my tyres where as in the past I used to hate it. You have made cycling even more enjoyable, if that was ever possible!!! Thank you.
SILCA: Gasket did not come with instructions on which way to orient inside head; had to call to make sure orientation was as I assumed--also, learned on phone which way the white plastic prod should orient when reassembled--would be good to have this assembly illustrated within a comprehensive instruction. I do not see any high pressure-low volume hand pumps in the Silca offerings for shock pressurization--is Silca interested in developing and offering this kind of pump, as the cheap ones I rely on are very hard to use especially after getting up to over 200 psig. Is Silca interested in developing and offering an inflator similar to e the type that Park Tool offers (https://www.parktool.com/product/shop-inflator-inf-2?category=Pumps), except make it much better and more durable along with more features? Again, I do not see this type of tool in the Silca offerings. See attached photo of crude assembly I put together long ago that uses as Silca head for presta valving and trigger I bought from an auto parts store--this could be idealized with higher quality trigger, duality for presta and schrader built in to the design, and gauging ,etc. Please call me at 303.478.7201 to discuss if you are interested in hearing more of what i think on some new offerings that may expand Silca's market presence. I was in Indianapolis last week and called in to your facility hoping it was a storefront of some sort or at least having opportunity to tour your facility, however I came to understand that Silca is not set up for tours and that purchasing is done through distributors. Thank you, Bill Irvine MBA, PE 303.478.7201
Your products are excellent. My only gripe was that I did not have a shipping option for a much slower, but low cost routing. I was in no urgent need of the parts, but had to pay shipping essentially equal to the value of your product. I purchased another item earlier this year and it took a long time but was very economical. What happened?
