Meaning Brick, in Italian, the Mattone is SILCA's award winning seat bag powered by the Boa Closure System.

With the new Mattone Grande, we have now created a 'bigger brick' with .74L of internal volume almost 2x the volume of the original Mattone (0.41L). The Mattone Grande is capable of holding up to 3 road tubes along with 2 CO2 cartridges, 2 tire levers and a multi-tool. It can also easily hold up to two 29x2.5 MTB tubes along with CO2, levers and Multi-tool, the Mattone Grande is ideal for those long adventure rides or races where you must be prepared for everything.

Similar to the original Mattone, a high friction Hypalon strap with BOA Closure completes the package. Making more than 15x the power of Velcro, the BOA Closure uses a ratcheting mechanism that will not creep or loosen even under the most extreme vibration and impact. This ensures the Mattone will remain high and tight‚ under your saddle until you need to access it... no swinging, swaying, or rattling... ever!

Parts covered by SILCA Limited Warranty are considered to be subject to wear through normal use or are consumable subject to degradation through the course of their daily use.  SILCA guarantees them free from manufacturer defects for 2 years.

    Will the Mattone bag fit on any seat rails?

    The Boa Strap on the Mattone Bags does require at least 41mm of space on the seat rail to have a good fit.

    What can I fit in a Mattone Bag?

    The Mattone Bags are able to comfortably fit an Elettrico (micro for Mattone and Ultimate for Mattone Grande), TPU tube, tire levers, and a multitool comfortably.

    Can I use a Hypalon Strap as a replacement strap for my Mattone Bag?

    These Hypalon Straps are not designed to be an exact match for the straps on our Mattone bags. If you are looking for a replacement strap for these bags, please reach out to our customer service team (sales@silca.cc) to purchase one.

    Will a Mattone Bag fit an Elettrico?

    Both of our Mattone Bag sizes can fit either of our Elettricos.
