Roughly 70%* of damage to high-end carbon components like seat posts, handlebars, and stems happen when making adjustments without using torque measurement. This problem is accentuated by the majority of adjustments occurring on the roadside or trail-side. T-Ratchet + Ti-Torque solves these problems by delivering a highly ergonomic tool with a torque measuring extender that provides real-time feedback as you are tightening the fastener. The Ti-Torque beam has three separate scales on it, 2-6, 3-5, and 4-8, which allow you to easily see when you’ve reached your desired torque setting. Ti-Torque weighs in at a mere 30 grams meaning you’ll hardly notice it’s there until you need it. The T-Ratchet uses interchangeable magnetic components to convert from a screwdriver to ratchet, to ratcheting T-Handle in seconds, which gives the user the ability to have several tools at once in an extremely small package.
*Based on 12 year data set from one of the largest manufacturers of carbon bar/stem/seatposts.
The T-Ratchet + Ti-Torque Kit is ready to use when removed from the package. If you would like to learn more about features, functions, and maintenance of the T-Ratchet + Ti-Torque Kit, please visit the SILCA resource center.
nice tolerance, everything needed, quite light
Pre is ion tools. Compact & efficient.
Beautiful craftsmanship and build quality combined with lightweight design. This is a must have in my mountain bike bag and in my road bike travel bag. I also own the Allen mechanics set and they have also become my go-to shop keys. Finally, the customer service team is absolutely wonderful. Real people that care.
I was expecting this to be a true torque wrench, set at the desired torque and have a response when it is achieved. It is not that you apply force till the visual indicator shows the nm you are seeking. So it, works as designed just different then a true torque type wrench.
Thanks for the feedback. This is called a beam style torque wrench and ultimately is a longer lasting and more accurate design. The clicker style you are referring to will lose calibration as there are more moving parts to create errors.
Love this item and have used the first generation for a few years. Great to toss in my travel case with my bike for the rebuild. The second generation has numbers slightly larger and easier to read. Very well built like all Silca products I've used.
