The rural Australian roads are pretty rough, 2nd ride on ultimate I got a 4-5mm hole in my tire, the tire was deformed with a massive egg around the hole. within about 20m of rolling the tire was sealed. It was staying closed unless I tried to do any hard efforts. I ended up rolling the 5km back home and swapping out the wheel with my spare. Considering the damage to the tire and the size of the hole I'm surprised I didn't need to plug it, tube it or walk home.
The way that the latex dries is super easy to clean as well, other brands I've used sets like glue if it's not washed off immediately.
the tubeless sealant actually works so I’m sure this will help prolong its useful life. I got a small puncture on the sidewall (tough spot for any sealant) which didn’t completely seal right away but after inflating and spinning the tire to make sure the fibers had a chance to cover the hole it has sealed - I’ve had similar punctures that wouldn’t seal with inferior sealants.
Seems to be a valid concept, not having to disassemble your wheels to continue use is a plus.
